I know it's hard to find contact info sometimes, and I for one don't like posting unrelated stuff in someone's posts. So here's your chance. They're making "move out" noises again and I'm pretty much at the end of my rope about it. I'm just so tired of it, it makes me sick. Moving, though, isn't exactly an option right at this moment, mostly for two reasons: 1 (the big one) is lack of money; and 2 stuff. A lot of stuff.
So, in an effort to cut down on the amount of stuff, I'll be doing several 'selling' posts. Thought I'd give the flist first crack at it before it goes to eBay/Kijiji.
In this one, I'm selling my music collection.
In cassettes, you'll find soundtracks and stuff by Enya, Loreena McKennitt, and Jean Farnworth.
In CDs, you'll find nature/relaxation, celtic, soundtracks, compilations. Yeah. I made this last night and thought someone out there might like to try it. It's a recipe that's been passed down for generations. I know there's probably other versions floating around out there, but I don't know what they'd be called; we've always called it Roly-Poly.
Since 'tis the season for it (rhubarb and strawberry), I thought I'd share. It's quick, easy, and one of my favorite desserts (probably because I don't make it that often! =_=;;).

...I cut my hair.
I just couldn't take it anymore. It was almost down to the knee, had a braid as thick as my wrist and was freaking heavy and hot.
So I braided it one day, called mum over and had her cut it for me. It was either her or me and I woke up that morning ready to take a knife to it. So she did it. It felt so nice when it came off, it was incredible.
The scary part? It was tied at both ends and braided when it was cut and I still have it. Now after it was cut off, my hair was still down to my shoulders (think slightly grown-out Count D bob). Then we cut that off. I've got my spikes back and I feel awesome. I feel more me than I have in a long time. It's good to be back! \^-^/
Today I got curious.
Now you have to understand that I have no concept of longer distances. I can divide a millimeter into ten equal parts, but don't ask me how far away ten feet is; I don't have a clue. I looked at the braid, figured oh, 16, maybe 17 inches? Got out the measuring tape.
28 inches. 28!! O_o;;
I can only X_x;; at the thought of how long it had to be before it was cut. It was still down to my shoulders! That would add another what? 12 inches? More? That's just nuts.
Yeah. That definitely deserves the 'crazy glue' icon.... X_x

8:36 pm - YAY! New camera!

Okay, as you guys out in flist-land may or may not know, I've been into the amigurumi/crochet thing this year. I posted my first for-sale pattern (an Asian Dragon) on Valentine's Day, and hoped that its sales might make enough to cover the 6 $47US payments for a course I signed up for.
Well, not only did it do that, I also had enough to buy a new camera which I desperately needed. Yay! New camera = better pics = higher quality patterns & tutorials = hopefully more sales. Granted, now I'm back to where I started (broke), but that's all right. I did it once, I can do it again. ^-^
( Then I thought: Hey, I've got this new digital camera, maybe I can try sending some new pics to the stock photo sites who basically told me where to go a few years back... )
So anyways, I've been camera-happy the last few days and taking pictures of anything and everything.
Then I thought of that thing that goes around the LJs every now and again. You know the one, 'Ask me to take a picture of anything and I'll post it here...'
So here's your chance. Ask me to take a picture of anything (except me; there are no pictures of me on the internet as far as I know and I'd like to keep it that way) and I'll post it for you.

I know, I know. 'Not another WIP!' This one's different. I already have 12 chappies written and so far I'm managing to churn out one a day. Yay! I'm also going to try to have the next chapter of both "A Goddess' Gift" and "Interrupt" up sometime this week. Comments go a long way toward making things happen (hint, hint)...

Warnings: Eventual m/m, x-over (FFVII/InuYasha), WIP
A/N 1: Okay, I'm going to try something different this time. No plan, no pre-written chapters. Nothing. I know vaguely where I want to end up, but there are no plans on how to get there. I'm just going to write as it comes, and aim for at least a chapter a day. They'll be shorter than my usual, but there will be more of them and updating will be quicker. Or that's the idea, anyway. Oh, and if anyone has suggestions for a better title, I'm all ears.
A/N 2: I've discovered that I like my white-haired bishies. My favorite character in InuYasha is Sesshoumaru (followed by InuYasha, because who could resist those ears?). My favorite character in FFVII is Sephiroth. (As an aside, I'm hooked on The Witcher and while the main character is no bishie, he's got white hair, too! I'm seeing a trend here...) Then I got to thinking that hey, Sesshoumaru and Sephiroth would look very nice together, and lo, the plotbunnies multiplied all over the place. I've got more FFVII/IY half-started crossovers on my HD than anyone would care to imagine, so I decided to throw this one out there to see if there's any interest. And yes, they're all Sess/Seph. Some more yaoi than others, but yeah. So if you have anything against m/m, you'll want to move on to another story because yeah, that's sort of the whole goal of this one. Yes, there will be more plot than anything, but the bishies will get together. Muses willing. I don't want to hear any complaining (either about the m/m or the pairing). You've been warned, you know what you're getting into. If you complain, you're only proving that you can't follow simple instructions.
About 'Daiyoukai': For those going 'But it's taiyoukai!', I'm sorry, but it isn't. The word in question is written 大妖怪. I dug up a copy of InuYasha in the original Japanese. And there, written beside 大妖怪 in neat furigana (think of it like a pronunciation guide), was だいようかい. Which transliterates as 'daiyoukai'. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself. The page in question is page 44 of volume 54 (4th page of chapter 531), bottom left-hand panel [I can post a scan if anyone needs it]. So, yes, I will be using 'Daiyoukai' in this fic.

Like the subject says, I just had a weird random thought about FFVII that I felt like inflicting on the f-list. XP
I betcha that the next FFVII compilation (if there is one) will be abbreviated either EC or FC.
Why?
Here's what I noticed about the FFVII/compilations (the weird random thought/realization):
In no particular order, it's made up of FFVII, Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. That's FFVII, AC, BC, CC, and DC.
I guess they like 'C' for that second letter, hey? XP
I wonder what it will be? 'Emerging Crisis'? 'Final Crisis'? 'Empire of Chaos'? (yay, more Chaos!) 'Finding Chaos'? (now I'm seeing chibi!Chaos stuck in an aquarium... >_<) ...'Emo Cloud'? (nah, that's sorta been done... At least four times)

All right, I've started a new journal specifically for my amigurumi so that I can post them to comms without people coming here to find more and seeing fic everywhere. There are two: on InsaneJournal you get the full with-pics posts at wickedstitches, and on LiveJournal you get the intro-and-IJ-link posts at wildstitches. I'll still post about them here, but just in case someone just wants to follow the amis, those are your options. ;P

I started this amigurumi just trying to figure out how to do bends in amigurumi. About 20 hours later, I'm putting the finishing touches on an Asian dragon and trying to keep my eyes from crossing.
